**If you are choosing to have us mail your prescription, USPS has been unpredictable and is taking longer than usual at times. We highly recommend placing your order well in advance of when you will need them! In the worst case scenario, some orders have been taking 10-14 days for delivery!
How to refill your pet’s medication
Step 1:
By law, we must see patients once yearly to renew prescriptions. If your pet is on a life-long medication and we have examined him/her in the past year, you may call our office to arrange pick-up or we will mail it to you. Please understand that we are unable to refill prescriptions if it has been over 1 year since his/her last exam. If you are unable to return to our clinic for an annual exam, please call your regular veterinarian for refills.
Step 2:
Call our office 517-655-2777 to chose one of the following options:
- Mail to your home via United States Post Office(USPS)USA residents only: Please call our office to order and pre-pay with a credit card. There is a $6 mailing fee on small box orders and an $7 mailing fee on large box orders. This fee covers the postage fee and postage equipment rental and supplies fees (You may be able to order more than one bottle of medication at a time to offset shipping costs). Please allow 3-7 days for shipping**. We cannot overnight medications at this time.
- Pick up from our office during regular business hours Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm: Please call our office in advance to have medications ready for pick-up.
- Pick up from our AFTER HOURS box: If you are unable to pick up during regular business hours, we have an after hours pick up box located on our back door. Please call our office to pre-pay with a credit card number and to receive the lock box access code.
- Call it into your local pharmacy (Rite-Aid, Walgreen’s, etc.): Please call our office with a phone number to your local pharmacy. Some medications (Tacrolimus, Alpha Interferon, Cidofovir) may not be available at a regular pharmacy (Walgreen’s, Rite-Aid), as they are made at a compounding pharmacy. If you have a compounding pharmacy in your area, we are able to call the medication in there as well. We cannot provide pricing information on medications at other pharmacies. We highly recommend calling around for prices before choosing a pharmacy, as prices can vary widely.
